JOB TITLE:   

Personal Trainer

JOB PURPOSE:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

· Design and implement safe, effective and enjoyable personal training sessions with a variety of clientele.

· Conduct fitness assessments and monitor progress of clients. This may include body composition testing, testing cardiorespiratory fitness, flexibility, muscular strength and muscular endurance as appropriate for client goals.

· Have a solid understanding of exercise science, anatomy and wellness principles.

· Provide personalized attention and customer service to clients and Campus Recreation patrons.

· Obtain and maintain necessary fitness certifications within the first 6 months of employment.

· Obtain or show proof of CPR/1st Aid.

· Assist with special programs/workshops/fairs.

· Communicate effectively and be able to maintain a flexible schedule.

· Attend and participate in staff meetings.

· Assist with cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

· Holding a current Fitness or Personal Training Certification is not required to apply but MUST BE OBTAINED within the first semester of employment while completing the shadowing process.

REQUIRED MATERIALS:  

· MUST INCLUDE A COVER LETTER speaking to your desire to be a Personal Trainer for Campus Recreation. If already certified, speak to your experience and your training style. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
