Job Description:

JOB DUTIES: Under direction and supervision of Waterfowl Program Manager, assist with waterfowl aerial and ground surveys, banding, research and other data collection efforts, analyze and synthesize data and produce written reports and articles, and assist with Canada goose depredation complaints. Assist or coordinate activities and projects within the section or division or as assigned.


Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, fish or wildlife management or closely related field of biological science or equivalent experience.

Other: Driver’s license required.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Knowledge of wildlife management principles, goals and objectives, particularly those applicable to waterfowl. Must be able to fly in small aircraft and identify waterfowl from the air and ground. Ability to communicate effectively with public and other agency staff, work with little supervision and with diverse clientele. Written and computer skills (e.g., Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access, GIS, program R) highly desirable. Candidates with program R experience preferred.
