We are seeking a skilled CFD Engineer to focus on aerodynamics for our Road Bike category. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fluid dynamics, aerodynamic principles, and structural mechanics – FEM – to optimize the performance, efficiency, and help us create the ultimate rider experience.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Utilize CFD simulations to analyze and optimize the aerodynamic performance of road bike frames, wheels, and components.

  • Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to propose and integrate aerodynamic solutions seamlessly into product development processes.

  • Conduct FEA analyses to assess the structural integrity, stiffness, and durability of bike components, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in bike aerodynamics and structural design through advanced simulation techniques.

  • Develop and refine simulation methodologies, workflows, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of aerodynamic and structural analyses.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and product managers.

  • Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and emerging methodologies in CFD, FEA, and bike aerodynamics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, with a focus on aerodynamics for cycling or similar applications.

  • Proficiency in commercial CFD software packages (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM).

  • Competent with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus).

  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, aerodynamic principles, and computational modeling techniques relevant to bike aerodynamics.

  • Experience with CAD software (CREO preferred) for geometry preparation and post-processing of simulation results.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to critically analyze and interpret complex data.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • A proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, preferably within the cycling or sports equipment industry.

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 15%.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of German a plus.
