Natural Habitat Adventures is looking for an Anchorage local that is driven, passionate, highly capable, organized and fun individual to join our field operations team. The Field Operations Specialist is responsible for providing logistical support and assistance to the Trip Owner, Field Operations Manager, Homer Lead Field Operations, and Expedition Leaders.  

 

This is a late-May through mid-September contract, field-based position that requires the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment with many variables. 

 

Sample responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following: 

 

  • Meeting our travelers at the airport to ensure their check-in process goes well on their way to Homer, Alaska.  
  • Arriving at our downtown Anchorage hotel before our groups to get their keys and reserve tables for their group dinner.  
  • Picking up a pre-ordered breakfast and train tickets to Seward at the Anchorage depot at 5:00am and meeting the group at their downtown hotel.  

 TIME & SEASONALITY 
While your hours will vary from day to day, this will be roughly 170hrs of work throughout the entire summer. It is understood that at times, it takes very early mornings to accomplish our goals. 

This is a contract-based position starting in late-May and ending in mid-September 
 
REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to problem solve and think / act quickly and with professionalism 
  • Proven self-starter 
  • Proven leadership abilities, including a strong track record of dependability and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to represent the Nat Hab brand professionally and to be a living example of our mission 
  • Ability to work well with a team 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Experience working in the travel industry preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 
  • A dependable vehicle 
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR 
     

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS 
Aside from hourly pay and vehicle use compensation, Nat Hab provides branded gear.
