Position Overview:

Youth Dynamics’ vision is to see youth transformed by the power of Christ, integrated into the local church, and impacting their world for Him. This full-time ministry position exists to support this vision by developing 3Story® relationships with students and assisting the Area Director in carrying out Youth Dynamics youth ministry in the community.  This position is funded by personal support-raising.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Ministry Development: Developing and maintaining all aspects of a viable student ministry as agreed upon by the Area Director.  This includes developing proficiency in all core and operational competencies.
  2. Student Ministry: Create programming to establish breadth and depth with students to align with your area’s ministry plan. Actively pursue relationships with non-Christian students to pursue the fulfillment of our mission.
  3. Student Follow-Up: Implement area policies with regard to new decisions for Christ. Meet regularly with new believers for follow-up and help transition them to local churches.
  4. Volunteer Development: As assigned by the Area Director, be able to train and work with volunteers for the fulfillment of the Youth Dynamics vision and mission.
  5. Vision Casting: In collaboration with the Area Director to communicate the future vision so that it ignites passion and commitment for volunteers, donors, and the community at large.
  6. Specific Project Development: Further develop and create new ministry opportunities.  Carry out other projects as assigned or agreed upon by the Area Director.

Works Collaboratively with: Area Director, Volunteers, Advisory Committee, various staff


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Relational: Is able to relate with today’s youth and various segments of the adult community.
  • Time Management: Is able to plan and organize own use of time, meet deadlines, and accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
  • Administration: Is able to implement ministry use of reports and strategic outcome tools.
  • Problem solving/decision making: Weighing alternatives and making sound decisions to reach competent, sensible and valid conclusions.
  • Initiative/creativity: Takes initiative, is proactive, self-starting, seizes opportunities, and originates action to achieve goals.
  • Resilience: Is able to maintain high performance levels under pressure or facing opposition. Is able to maintain passion in the face of disappointments, criticism, and rejection.
  • Communication: Effectively communicates verbally and in writing to various audiences.


Competencies and Qualifications:

  1. Active and growing relationships with Christ
  2. Signs Youth Dynamics Statement of Faith.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with people from varied cultural, socio-economic, educational, and experiential backgrounds.
  4. A passion for reaching youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  5. Youth ministry experience (preferred).
  6. Has a teachable spirit.

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • Pay* $38,400-$51,600 DOE
