JOB OVERVIEW

The lead is primarily responsible for the day-to-day activities required to maintain production flow and support production employees. The coordinator reports directly to the Shift Supervisor. The position handles various tasks for coordinating daily workload requirements, maintaining accurate material count and product flow. This includes operating plastic injection molding machines, light machinery, assembly equipment and product assembly

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is based out of our Manhattan, MT office.

As the Production Lead, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with your Supervisor on day to day situations and production within the department.
  • Effectively communicate any employee issues that the Shift Supervisor needs to address.
  • Effectively coordinate and lead the work effort of daily production.
  • Be responsible for adherence to Quality Specifications for all products.
  • Effectively communicate all quality control guidelines and expectations to employees.
  • Ensure that production is performed in a safe manner and in compliance with company policies.
  • Implement, track, and review employee training programs.
  • Train operators in the department and mentor new employees
  • Assist the supervisor with employee disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate assembly line work area set ups of the with Shift Supervisor based upon shipping requirements and customer timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized production area.
  • Fill in for the Shift Supervisor when needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

You have:

  • Experience in a formal leadership role.
  • Ability to perform at above average productivity level while maintaining quality & safety standards established for the operation.
  • Demonstrated above average self-motivational drive.
  • Experience working with or around mechanized machines.
  • Demonstrated effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and positively with others .
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Be able to sit, stand and move about the facility for up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Bend, crouch, reach, squat and grasp to reach and move product frequently
  • Ability to work on machines, assemble product, and perform other manual dexterity repetitive tasks.
  • Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50 lbs.
  • Use small industrial hand tools, forklift, pallet jacks, computers, and any other tool to complete your job.
  • Have a HS diploma or GED.
  • Have a reasonable numerical aptitude and perform basic math.
  • Be able to communicate clearly via verbal and written/English
  • Have experience and be able to navigate using Microsoft office, data entry, Net Suite,
  • Have high level of performance working well with others
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks

Additional Desirable Capabilities

  • Post high school education.
  • Experience in the product area where opening exists.
  • Participation in CI implementations such Kaizen Card submissions
  • Familiarity and usage of Lean Manufacturing Principles

Pay Range:

$23.76 - $27.53

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
