Water Country - Head Lifeguard

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Head Guard position is the perfect job for someone who takes pride in their work and is passionate about helping others and guiding a team to success. Becoming a Head Guard is the perfect opportunity to enhance communication and service skills. The perfect applicant should be outgoing, motivated, and have at least a year of lifeguarding experience.

• Oversee a team of 15-30 team members and adhere to all federal and NH labor laws
• Ensure the safe operating conditions of assigned section
• Handle all guest issues with exceptional customer service
• Foster and exemplify a safety first mentality
• Assist with regular maintenance of basic attraction related equipment
• Assist in facilitating park cleanliness at all times
• Assist in other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old OR 16+ with proven leadership/lifeguard experience
• Demonstrates ability to swim at least 200 yards and complete the Ellis & Associates lifeguard training
• Must exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to fit the needs of the Operations Team
• Ability to work in various weather and temperature conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Recognizes and promptly responds to safety concerns
